Delivery: With hands out in front and a quick, controlled slide step into his wind up. Ryan keeps hands low behind his leg kick for deception. Quick hand break, gets arm up and out, over the top deliver with good extension. Works downhill on his pitches.
FB: With deception, Ryan fastball will sneak up on hitters. Uses location to maximize his velocity.
CB: Good depth and velocity change on the curveball, used it for weak contact and get me over to start working backwards to hitters. Also, was able to double up on this pitch.
CH: Coming out a fastball look, the changeup was able to keep hitters off balance. With late drop and movement away from left handed hitters, makes a well timed pitch.
6/16/21
Area Code Tryout - Uncommited; Strong compact body type, quick strong arm works easily, not prototypical RHP body but the stuff can still continue as he matures due to ease of the arm, peaked 91 mph with FB that say 87-89 with some length through the zone, feel of 74-76 mph CB with enough late action for swing and miss. Flashed CHG (80 mph) that can complement the FB.
8/12/20
Area Code Underclass - Uncommitted; stout compact frame, fastball jumps with good spin (2300-2400), athletic on the mound, worked fast, crossbody stride, effectively wild, tight spin. 1 K, 1 BB, 1 H, 1 ER, 20/28 (57%) strikes.
