11/2/19:

Strong compact body type with athletic proportions, overhand slot, loose quick arm, long backside arm action with some leverage in the delivery as he finishes. Works quickly, attacked with fastball and dictated the tempo of the at-bats. Mound presence was good. One inning look, was sharp with fastball 91-92, traditional slider with enough late action to get off the barrel and when located well capable of being an out-caliber pitch (82-83 mph). Showed feel of change-up (83 mph) with good downward action on the arm side. Would have to see in a few outings to determine his future professional profile/projection.

8/19/19:Athletic bodied at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Sullivan took a big step forward from the spring. In eight starts and 32 innings during the Cape regular season, he allowed 25 hits, walked just six against 37 strikeouts and finished with a 1.96 ERA. During this look, Sullivan pounded the zone. There were very few comfortable swings. He showed a starter-type delivery with an up-tempo motion and began with a simple step-in. Has a long arm action which got off-line in back at times. Landed cross body, creating some angle from a high three-quarter slot. Consistently kept his 88-91 mph sinking fastball down in the zone, locating it to both sides. The shape of his 76-78 curveball varied between 11/5 and 12/6. Had good bite and excellent depth. The pitch projects to be at least an above average pitch in the future. His slider at 81-83 mph plays like a power version of the curveball with downer action. Tight, short, swing-and-miss pitch. A very good bury pitch when ahead. Also mixed in an average changeup at 82-85 mph, thrown with very good arm speed. With plus control of a four-pitch mix and possibly more velocity in the tank, expect Sullivan to continue his development and become considered for the early rounds in 2021. (Seifert)
