Positional Profile: SS/RHP Banning is somewhat of a unicorn, switch hitter who can play anywhere on the field and get it done on the mound.
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Athletic build, strength with maintained agility.
Delivery: Good rhythm and pace. Drives down the hill off his back leg.
Arm Action: RH. Over the top release.
FB: T87, 83-86 mph. Firm FB with tons of lift. Gets it for consistent strikes and isn't afraid of attacking hitters inside. T2057, 1915 average rpm.
CB: 72-76 mph. CB-SL combo, gets sweep and drop all in one. Showed consistent strikes T2607, 2299 average rpm.
ATH: 7.37 runner in the 60. 27.70 max vertical.

Hit: SH. Feet are shoulder width apart, bat is over the shoulder with hands up and back off his shoulder. Small load, clean swing path. Strong from the left side. 70 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 86.5 mph. 357' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-90 mph. Advanced arm strength, clean arm path.
Defense: Light on his feet, creates momentum towards target, sets himself up for throws.
ATH: 7.37 runner in the 60. 27.70 max vertical.
Long lower half with long arms; shorter midsection on a lean frame with ample room to add strength/mass. Loose arm action with some effort in his dip/drive delivery. Pounds FB down and in on RHH. Downhill plane from a high 3/4, almost over the top, arm slot creates a rising appearance in the fastball. Lands a tick open with the toe but inline with hips/shoulders. CB shows two shapes, one a two-plane break and the other a sweepy slider look. Both shapes were landed for strikes/whiffs. Changeup is developing showing downer shape that almost dies at the plate.
