Event: NorCal ProCase
Positional Profile: RHP
Physical: 6-foot-5, 180-pounds, lithe and lanky, long limbs.
Delivery: Uses height to his advantage and thrusts his entire body towards the plate as the leg disengages from the leg lift. Drives forward and is relatively low compared to his height at pitch release.
Arm Action: Slight flexion in the elbow to create a smaller and quicker arm path. Comes down and uses a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.3 mph, 83.3 - 85.2 mph range, 2029 avg spin; FB gets tail, showed a dominating presence on the inside corner against RHH.
CB: 70.0 - 71.2 mph, 2273 avg spin; Looping curve, more as a get-me-over and freeze pitch. Didn’t see it down in the zone often.
CH: 77.4 - 78.3 mph, 1335 avg spin; Not a lot of vertical break but enough for it to tunnel well with the FB and then drop off. Relies on the speed difference to beat hitters trying to get on time to the FB.
