Caleb Koster, Cajon High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/OF Rising junior with wiry frame. As he matures and adds weight / muscle, his current arm action support more velocity growth, and his movement throughout field displayed balance and fluidity. Interesting to see as he matures and defintalty someone to look out for.
Body: 6-0, 153-pounds. Lean and wiry athlete that maintained great balance across the field. With height that supports even more weight and muscle to be added as he matures.
Delivery: High legkick, into deep sink into back leg. Front side creates pull for arm and velocity creation. Hips clear well and front side gets firm and foot is in line with catcher.
Arm Action: RH. Long takeback behind body to 3/4 slot. Action is whippy and body stays close to in line at release point.
FB: T86, 83-85 mph. Some arm side run, best action low and away to righties. T2093, 1940 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. Shows best spin and shape when released later. Sharp when thrown lower in the zone. 1/6 shape. T2168, 1986 average rpm.
CH: 73-75 mph. Present horizontal and vertical movement, with deception from fastball. T1426, 1285 average rpm.
ATH: 6.98 runner in the 60. 1.59 and 3.81 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Body: 6-0, 153-pounds. Lean and wiry athlete that maintained great balance across the field. With height that supports even more weight and muscle to be added as he matures.
Hit: RHH. Square stance with kneees slightly bent. Hands tucked by ear with bat angled just slightly behind head. Uses small leg lift to gain some ground forward. Hands cock with rhythm as they create space away from body, before shooting down and in to create tight rotation against firm front side. Swing is best with 2 handed finish, with neutral bat path. 66.8 mph bat speed with 7 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 78.9 mph. 289' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-87 mph. Medium takeback into 3/4 slot, firm front side supports aggresive throwing move and loose/whippy arm action. Carry is plenty present for all throws.
Defense: Effective mover who creates good speed through ball. Displayed sureness and comfortability with groundballs throughout.
ATH: 6.98 runner in the 60. 1.59 and 3.81 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Vizual Edge: 68 Edge Score
1/25/26
Koster turned in one of the most complete two-way performances of the event. He opened the day with a 6.98 60-yard dash, then showed off one of the stronger arms in the outfield, reaching 87 mph with carry and accuracy on his throws. Offensively, Koster worked with a contact-driven approach, flashing quick hands with a max hand speed of 22 mph and a compact, efficient swing path. The standout portion of his day came on the mound. In his bullpen, Koster sat 83-85 mph, topping out at 86.1 mph, pairing the fastball with a slow-breaking curveball at 67-70 mph and a changeup at 73-75 mph that showed late fade. He consistently worked around the strike zone, showing feel for all three pitches and an ability to repeat his delivery. His 6-foot, 153-pound frame moves athletically down the mound, and shows there is physical development still ahead.
