Nishnick showed well offensively, going the opposite way twice with authority, including an RBI double in the first inning and a line-drive single to right field in the third. The right-handed hitter uses a short, quiet stride but swings with intent, generating loud contact when he squares the ball up. At roughly 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, the frame already carries plenty of strength and projects toward real power as he continues to mature. Defensively, Nishnick moves well around the bag at first base and shows the traits to remain there long term, though there is still some slight stiffness when receiving throws that should improve with reps. The overall profile points toward a power-oriented bat, and the ball already jumps off his barrel with noticeable carry the opposite way. A two-sport athlete in both baseball and football, Nishnick brings an intriguing combination of size, strength, and upside to the Torrey Pines lineup.
