Hit: RHH. High hands above the shoulders, flat barrel. Slightly crouched setup with sink into back leg when loading up. Vertical hand load, slow buildup leading up to hip fire. Line drive approach, two-hand finish.
Arm: RH. C-64 mph. Hand to ear, short and quick arm.
Defense: 2.10-2.30 pop times. Shuffles feet on transfer, quick to stand up. Athletic out of the crouch.

Gomez was arguably the best catcher at the event, moving well behind the dish and showing a very high aptitude for blocking and recovering with ease. With a smaller, stronger frame, Gomez is a leader behind the dish, even in a showcase setting. Using a slight toe-tap trigger, he loads and explodes through the ball with present power resulting in consistent barrels both during BP and the gameplay portion. Had a single (5.14 turn) and a hard hit ground out to the backhand side of the shortstop who made a very good play. Arm is still developing, but throws showed accuracy on the bag at second base.

Body: 5-4, 142-pounds. Compact, built frame.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance with a wide base and slight knee bend. Hands are set high and just behind the head, with the back elbow elevated. Bat is upright and angled slightly toward 3rd base side. Lower half is grounded and coiled. Short front leg stride. Upper body coils with load generating most power from torso. Minimal load in lower body. Lofty swing with a two-hand finish.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 76.4 mph. 255' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-68 mph. Over-the-top arm release. Ball comes out short of 2nd base. Throws are low, but accurate.
Defense: 2.30-2.40 pop times. Active body behind the dish. Quick pop-up from initial stance. Quick ball transfer. Stronger arm strength can improve pop time significantly.
