I’ve been high on Berigan going back to my first live look at him during his sophomore season in an outstanding start against Foothill Tech. 2+ years later, the entirety of his profile has only continued to rise. He’s developed himself into a legitimate two-way potential prospect for the next level as he gets ready to head off to Pepperdine next fall. This live look was a statement of that realistic two-way potential profile. Throwing just two innings in an opener role, Berigan was efficient to the strike zone with an athletic delivery. His fastball velocity sat at 88–89 and touched 90 multiple times. He predominantly worked with his CHG as a secondary living in the 80–82 range with heavy vertical tumble giving it a SPLT-like action. He mixed in a few mid-70s CBs that, when executed down in the zone will flash power, but were a bit inconsistent with his feel for the offering. He allowed one hit over the two innings, punching out four, while ending his day with a swinging strikeout on a well-executed 76MPH breaking ball. As good as those two innings were for Berigan, he provided an exclamation mark to the day, showing off his athletic RH hitting operation. Just missing in his first bat he lofted a fly ball to RF, but the next three plate appearances were a demonstration of his offensive ability. Lacing a double down the left field line and then launching a no doubt three-run tank to LCF to put the final nail in the coffin of the 10th win on the season for the Lancers. The waves have a talented young man headed to campus who can provide an immediate impact in multiple ways, depending on the need for him in their program.

Berigan got a later start to his 2025 High School campaign, but in his third appearance (2nd start) of the spring the talented uncommitted righthander showed off his high level pitching ability. Facing a strong Oaks Christian lineup Berigan was not only effective, but downright dominant in his four inning outing. From pitch one of the day his FB was not only showing the lively riding shape it displayed when I first saw it in 2024, but actually showed a tick more life/ride. Sitting at 87-89 MPH over the course of the outing while touching 90 MPH multiple times he collected 10+ whiffs in zone with the heater and was able to locate it to the arm side/glove side while showing ability to work north/south with the elevation to still produce whiff/soft contact. His primary secondary was a powerful vertical breaking CB in the 76-79 MPH range which induced chase/whiff from both RH and LH hitters. His feel for the pitch was sound, even backing off later in the outing to the 74 MPH range on it as a cross-count strike offering before coming back later in the at bat with the more powerful version for a whiff or chase. Jameson mixed in a trio of 81-83 MPH changeups that flash arm side fade and throws it with FB arm speed, but his feel for the offering is still developing. The overall operation of his delivery has improved with better use of the lower ½ allowing him to maintain his direction down the mound more consistently into release while still showing a quick arm that is borderline fast projecting future increases in his FB velocity and breaking ball life above their already strong present profiles. The future ceiling for Berigan is intriguing while looking the part of starter at the next level and is one of the top uncommitted arms in the 2026 in SoCal and the state of California.

Delivery: Stands tall through balance point. Gets into legs before planting. Athletic movements throughout.
Arm Action: RH. Short over the top release.
FB: Arm side run that plays towards inner half.
CB: Sharp vertical break. Keeps the ball low in the zone.
SL: Sharp horizontal break. Shape similar to cutter.
CH: Arm side run that plays off of fastball. Traditional circle change-up.
