Lucas Rancadore, Bradshaw Christian School (CA), 2029 Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 6-0, 187-pounds. Hit: LHH. Sets up upright in a slightly open stance with weight shifted slightly into the back side. Hands rest behind the back ear with the barrel lying across the back shoulder. Initiates the load by shifting further into the back side as the hands work back and the barrel becomes vertical. Utilizes a small leg kick for timing before a short, even stride forward. Hips and hands work in tandem, firing at foot strike. Displays solid bat speed as the barrel works through the zone. Exhibits a pronounced uphill bat path geared toward driving the ball in the air. At times can get on top of the ball, but consistently produces hard contact with evident power potential. Arm: RH. OF-77 mph. Half-circle arm path out of the glove with compact, explosive action, working to a 3/4 release. Shows some natural arm-side run but maintains solid feel for accuracy. Arm projects well for RF. Defense: Positions himself well behind the ball with short, controlled footwork. Shows decent range and the ability to cover solid ground. Reads off the bat can continue to improve, but displays solid fundamental tools in the OF.

Rancadore comes into the event as one of the more physical 8th graders I’ve seen in a while, the combination of power, speed, physicality, and maturity packed all into one is a very hard mixture to find. Rancadore stands at 6’1” 190 lbs and stood out with an event best 60-yd dash at 7.38 seconds. When hitting, Randacore had the highest exit velocity of the day at 95.6 MPH and had an average velo of 78.5 MPH. Early in the BP rounds he had some timing issues but once he got his timing down he didn’t miss many baseballs. Rancadore was displaying tons of power to the middle of the field and lots of poolside potential, its a two hand finish and it reminds me of Masen Belding. The max distance on his BP was 370 FT with tons of other line drives. This kid is going to be a force to be reckoned with once he gets to Bradshaw Christian next season.
