Labelle participated both as pitcher and position player for the workout but really stood out offensively on the day. At the plate, Labelle posted a max exit velocity of 90 mph during BP with an early, controlled stride and a line-drive oriented swing that produced consistent hard contact to both LCF and RCF gaps. He displayed a strong ability to stay on plane through the zone as referenced to his 89% sweet spot rate and 78% line drive percentage. While the raw metrics may not immediately jump off the page, Labelle’s consistency and quality of contact made for one of the most impressive BP rounds of anyone attending the event.

Luke LaBelle, Newbury Park High (CA), 2028 Positional Profile: RHP/1B Intriguing 1B/RHP with lots of attributes and room to fill physically. Body: 6-0, 184-pounds. Lean, stalky frame with long levers. Hit: RHH. Sets up upright with a slight bend in the knees and weight shifted into the back side. Hands sit at ear level with a raised back elbow and the barrel resting high above the back shoulder, showing minimal waggle. Initiates the load by sinking further into the back knee as the hands drift back slightly and the barrel works vertical. Utilizes a quick, lengthy stride forward for timing. Keeps the back heel raised and lands balanced. Hips and hands fire as the front heel lands, creating a connected and balanced swing. Shows a strong front side as the barrel works through the zone with an uphill path and good feel for contact. Line drive, up the middle approach with room to add power as the frame continues to fill out and develop. 63.5 mph bat speed with 6 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 79.6 mph. 269' max distance. Arm: RH. INF-72 mph. Low 3/4 slot. Long, release with apparent lag. Slight pause during arm back path. Defense: Steady, calculated fielder. Short, but effective strides during throwing motion. Reads ball well with minimal movement.
