Matteo DAquanni, Murrieta Valley High (CA), 2029
Positional Profile: RHP/1B Tall, projectable, and young, with present velocity and athletic movements at the dish, will only continue to rise as strength and maturity is added. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.
Body: 6-6, 192-pounds. Long frame, with some muscle mass already evident, listed at 6'4 190, with room to grow into the frame even more.
Delivery: From the wind up, creates large leg lift, and sinks well into the glute as he creates downhill movement, creates seperation at break.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 Arm slot, with release point high and far away from body, short takeback.
FB: T86, 84-85 mph. Present arm side run, works primarily as two seam. Runs it up to 86, with max spin of 2120. Velocity will continue to grow and be supported by the frame, as strength is added. T2120, 2006 average rpm.
CB: 72-72 mph. Shows some shape, with spin at 2304. T2304, 1866 average rpm.
CH: 76-78 mph. Plays well off of fastball, with arm side run as well. Change in velocity from fastball. Best secondary the the moment. T2014, 1953 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Feet start slighlty outside of shoulder width, hands keep bat slanted and up above the back shoulder, uses toe tap load / timing mechanism, front foot lands slightly open. Hands stay in line, and inside throughout the preswing, creating really aggresive and fluid motion through the zone. Swing is on plane for a while through the zone, creating really loud contact to all fields.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 89.4 mph. 367' max distance. Impressive swings all day, best were middle and pulled, with one ball elevated to the left side to 367. Max EV at 97.
Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Short arm slot, creates present velocity from frame that will only continue to rise as strength is added.
Defense: Moves athletically around first, feet don't drag, and shows comfort moving around the position.
ATH: 7.96 runner in the 60. 1.74 and 4.31 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Vizual Edge: 61.36 Edge Score

D’Aquanni is another young prospect with a frame that’s easy to dream on. At just 15 years old, he already stands 6-4, 190 pounds, with real upside—especially on the mound. In his bullpen, D’Aquanni sat 84-85 mph and touched 86, showing ride through the zone with his fastball. His curveball (72-73 mph) featured downward action with late east-west movement, while his developing changeup (76-78 mph) flashed high spin but the potential to become a legitimate third weapon in his arsenal. Despite the impressive pitching showing, D’Aquanni also showed offensive tools, posting a 97.1 mph max exit velocity with a 367-foot max batted distance. With his size, athleticism, and two-way ability at such a young age, D’Aquanni is an extremely intriguing 2029 profile and a name worth keeping close tabs on moving forward.
