Max Eldridge, Santiago High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/3B Rising junior with huge upside on both sides of the ball. Plus arm from the outfield, and extremely competitive metrics offensively. Standout and someone to keep note of through spring/summer season.
Body: 6-3, 227-pounds. Extremely physical, big body with lots of upside, muscle mass is already prevalent, with coordinated movements throughout. Really intriguing build with top-of-the-line metrics in almost all categories.
Hit: RHH. Back foot stacked under, with a slight bend at the knee, engaging his glutes, front foot slightly in front of his shoulder, with a slightly open stance to the pitcher. Hands start high and tight to the ear, with the bat angled/tucked behind. Small legkick for timing, with the front foot slightly moving forward, with it landing slightly open and creating good grounding/balance. Hands cock down and back, with the bat coming straight up and down at the end of the load. Extremely tight turn, using rotation and body well to create ++ bat speed and efficiency throughout. Catched ball out front well, with a flat through the zone approach. 81.8 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 105 max exit velocity, averaged 96.1 mph. 357' max distance. Top-of-the-line metrics, with a top-end bat speed at 81 mph, and an EV at 105. Really impressive swings to both backside and pull, with the best swing cohesion to the right side.
Arm: RH. OF-89 mph. High ¾ slot, long takeback creates real whip, and a strong front side allows for full body weight to be used for velocity. 89 from the OF allows for carry on all throws. Extremely put together throwing motion, that supports + hip/shoulder separation.
Defense: Tempo through the ball, showing sureness throughout his evaluation. Gets low with the ball when necessary and showed present ability to judge and read hops.
ATH: 6.89 runner in the 60. 1.56 and 3.80 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Vizual Edge: 68.47 Edge Score
