Ohman was recently at our Stanford PSAS, he did both workouts as a pitcher and outfielder, he performed well, but I definitely didn’t expect him to be as dominant on the mound as he was this past Saturday. Ohman came into relief after Zirelli and made a loud statement, he tossed four innings of no hit ball, only walking one, and adding on six strikeouts, to secure the win for the Padres. A freshman that had looked like he’d been pitching there for four years already, was dominating the St. Mary’s lineup. Ohlman's fastball was sitting between 84-86 mph T87, he mixed in a CB/SL combo that had hitters chasing all over the place. His changeup was deceptive, playing exceptionally well off his other pitches, sitting in the 70-72mph range. I’m excited to see Ohman grow as a player, he’s a very athletic freshman with a bright future ahead.
