This was my third look at Silicz (cousin of McCoy), going back to the 2025 Bakersfield Summer ID, then at a January scout team tryout, and now in a live game setting during the high school season. With each passing look at Sterling, he continues to improve on what is an interesting foundation of strength in his frame, sound athleticism, and interesting present baseball tools that he is beginning to find the feel for using on a consistent basis and in game action. During batting practice, the most notable thing for me with Sterling was the improved fluidity to his swing which allowed him to produce bat speed with balance and leverage in the turn to unload on multiple no-doubt HRs to the LCF gap and straightaway LF flashing realistic raw power projections for him that can start to show up in game with continued development to his in game operation. His INF/OF in RF was strong with a feel for how to work into a ground ball or line drive to him and get his feet/body behind it to tap into sound present arm strength that accurately carried throws on one hop or in the air to both 3B and home plate, the most vital throws for a RF profile defender. During the game, Silicz flashed the upside in his game with a line drive right at the LF defender for Ridgeview, but displayed his ability to adjust in game after whiffing once in his first at bat before taking a called third strike, he filtered the information gained in that plate appearance to improve his timing and pitch selection in the next at bat vs. a D1 commit arm to connect for a hard hit ball. He looks sound in RF at present with sound reads off the bat and moved well to the RCF gap on one catch, but can improve his angles coming in on balls to his glove side as he slightly misjudged a flare there that fell before a collision with their 2B. Still more foundation and upside than polish, there is plenty to like about where Silicz is trending as a baseball player, and if he maintains the forward progress he is making will be a quality name in the 2028 class for college programs to check in on.

Body: 5-11, 193-pounds. Stronger present build with emerging strength across frame
Delivery: Hands load over and behind head, belt high knee lift, controlled operation, sits into back hip with front leg leading down mound, clean mover, hips rotate quickly, blocks lead leg to maintain direction
Arm Action: RH. Full arm path out of glove with glove tap before working with depth downward, hand stays behind body, works to a 3/4 release point, solid present arm speed with some looseness to it, minimal recoil
FB: T84, 81-84 mph. Sound riding profile to FB shape with emering spin traits T2161, 2118 average rpm.
CB: 71-71 mph. softer spin, two-plane shape, throws for strikes T1956, 1876 average rpm.
SL: 71-75 mph. Similar shape to CB with slightly more bite T2078, 1970 average rpm.
CH: 73-77 mph. Flashes feel to kill spin, fades to arm side, can separate more vertically from FB T1921, 1617 average rpm.
ATH: 7.30 runner in the 60. Burst off the line with ability to maintain speed throughout, taller posture

Hit: RHH. Medium base with even feet, taller posture, high back elbow, flat bat angle, hands set above ear height off his body Small load into back side with short toe tap forward move, hands load down and back into slot, barrel tip, hips rotate with quickness, stays in ground with lower 1/2, uphill hand/barrel path 67 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 85.2 mph. 327' max distance. Loft based bat path with pull side impact, some carry to middle of the field, power potential profile as he polishes
Arm: RH. OF-81 mph. Medium length path with elbow behind body, shows some strength/carry on throws, slightly uphill thrower
Defense: Controlled mover with feel to play through the ball, consistent transfer, corner profile
ATH: 7.30 runner in the 60. Burst off the line with ability to maintain speed throughout, taller posture
