Positional Profile: LHP/LHP Crafty lefty with projectible frame and 4-pitch arsenal with upside
Body: 6-0, 158.5-pounds. Tall & wiry frame that will continue to fill out with physical development.
Delivery: Standrd windup. Drop-and-dive movement with lower-half, closed-off glove-side adding deception for opposing hitters. Clean follow-through on back-end.
Arm Action: LH. Extremely low 3/4 slot nearing sidearm territory. Long arm swing to front-foot strike
FB: T80, 75-79 mph. Lots of movement on both axis'. Holds its vertical plane well from a funky slot. Weak-contact inducing pitch with more velo to come. T2010, 1766 average rpm.
CB: 63-65 mph. Standout horizontal break, hard pitch to square up for hitters with true natural loft T2095, 2046 average rpm.
SL: 65-69 mph. Tight break with high RPM's, high-ceiling pitch with proper development. T2848, 2165 average rpm.
CH: 66-70 mph. Solid speed differential to off-set the timing of opposing hitters. T1905, 1114 average rpm.

Johns was one of the more intriguing underclass arms in attendance, showing a projectable left-handed profile and a four-pitch mix that should continue to develop as he matures physically. The Centennial High School product worked with a fastball, curveball, slider, and changeup combination, with the slider standing out as his best offering of the day. The slider showed quality glove-side movement with depth and the ability to work off his fastball effectively. As a whole, Johns demonstrated solid feel for his arsenal, but the slider was the pitch that consistently caught attention throughout his outing. He also ran his fastball up to 79.7 mph, a notable mark for a 2028 left-hander with plenty of physical development still ahead. Standing at 6-foot, 158 pounds, Johns possesses a lean, projectable frame with room to continue adding strength. As that physical development comes, there is reason to believe additional velocity could follow. While the current profile may project more toward a relief role, the combination of a quality breaking ball, present velocity, and future projection gives him a chance to continue developing into a starter profile. Overall, it was another encouraging look at a young left-hander with upside.

Positional Profile: LHP/LHP A 4-pitch mix featuring a FB, CB, SL, and SPLT that help complement the FB. The CB and SL have similar pitch profiles but the SPLT helps offset each OS offering at a different look.
Body: 6-0, 159-pounds. A thin and projectable frame with long levers.
Delivery: Easy and repeatable mechanics. A drop and drive lower half allows him to ride the slope while staying in contact with the rubber. A longer stride helps create a natural stretch. Finishes well over the frontside.
Arm Action: LH. Whippy arm with a clean arm swing. Releases from a low 3/4 slot.
FB: FB has ride throughout the zone, with more vertical break (12in) than horizontal break (-10in). Coming from a lower slot, the FB will get on hitters quick and give a rising illusion.
CB: CB has a slight pop at release with a sweepy profile. The CB averaged 12.7in of horizontal break compated to -5.0in of vertical break, insinuating a sweepy CB.
SL: A similar pitch to the CB, the SL is has a true sweeper profile with an avg of 18in of HM and -0.6 in of IVB. Velocity is also extremely similar to the CB, averaging 67mph.
SPLT: A true splitter with extremely low spin and a strong metric profile. With -5in of HM and 7.5 in of IVB, the pitch tunnels well off the FB and can be a major pitch to offset RHH.
