A 6-foot-0, 180-pound right hand hitting 2B/RHP who ran a 7.60 60.  Narrow, balanced set up at the plate with a high leg kick and long stride on the pitch.  Swing path is uphill with good weight transfer and extension at contact.  Exit velocity was 87 MPH.  In the field he shows good hands and a quick release.  He moved well to his glove side and delivered an accurate 84 MPH ball.  On the mound He stand square and get to balance on his motion.  He lands in-line with the plate but falls off to the right side on delivery.  He showcased 3 pitches with good command of the zone.  His fastball was 79 MPH with good location, he added a 68-69 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 71-72 MPH change. 

8.16.14 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting MIF/RHP hit from a balanced tall setup with a leg kick producing a short swing and an impressive 87 mph exit velocity. Threw 76 mph across the diamond from shortstop from a loose, high arm slot, with accuracy and carry. Ran a 7.21 60. On the mound threw 78-79 mph from loose, high slot. Threw strikes with fastball and 68-69mph 12/6 curveball. Mechanically, showed some rhythm to delivery, with level shoulders, toe pointed down at balance point, with a square, in-line towards home plate landing, but would then fall off towards first.

10.19.14 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting MIF/RHP.  Threw 75 mph across the diamond from shortstop from a loose, high arm slot, with accuracy.  Kester has a good feilding base with good feet that get his upper body in proper throwing position.  On the mound threw 78-79 mph from loose, high slot with a max fastball at 80 mph. Threw strikes with fastball and had a  68-69 mph change-up. Curve ball had good 12-6 action that sat at 63 mph. Mechanically, showed some rhythm to delivery, with level shoulders, toe pointed down at balance point, with squared level shoulders, and in-line towards home plate landing, and is working on falling off to first base since the last time we saw him.  Has opened up his stance at the plate and drives the ball to the left side better.  Exit velo was 82, but quick hands generate good pop off the bat.  Showed well in the Southern Prospect Games and in the Colorado Top Prospect Games.
