10/23/16- Miami recruit. Toral continued to show a pull-side approach with above average bat speed and power. The strong first baseman has proven he has above average bat speed and plus power potential. When he stays to the middle of the field and lets his natural power work he can be a plus hitter. The power from the left side works and is some of the best pure power in the class which will always make him very interesting.

10/16/16- Miami recruit. Stands at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds with a solid, strong build with a developed lower half. Has leaned out recently and looked more comfortable at the plate with an advanced approach, easy swing, and plus bat speed from the left side with present power. Consistently finds the barrel and put multiple balls over the fence during batting practice. Took a ball the other way deep into the left/center field gap for a standup RBI double. He showed this weekend why many believe he is the best available power bat in the class. The is undoubtedly very easy power and has a feel for hitting. If he can continue these performances as well as stay as lean and in shape as he looked this weekend, expect him to be an early round pick on day one of the draft.

6/5/16- Miami recruit, Toral is a 6-foot-1 215-pound first basemen who continued to show why is the No. 1 rated player in the 2017 class. Toral’s strong lower half, advanced approach and quick bat that stays in the zone for a long time produced multiple hard hit balls all weekend. Toral has continued to fill out and will be interesting to watch him continue to grow with the high expectations and high caliber pitching who will go after him this summer.

5/18/16- Miami commit who stands at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds with a strong, physical, and thick frame with loose, natural actions and athleticism. He is the top-ranked player in Florida and overall. His combination of an advanced approach and plus power is what sets him apart from everyone else in his class. He is relaxed at the plate with a good base, rhythm, and he has a true presence in the box. He gets into a strong hitting position and he has an easy swing with an ideal plane through the zone. The ball explodes off his bat and he has proven to be able to drive balls out of the park against the top pitching. Look for him to one of the top draft prospects come this time next year.

3/31/16 - Miami commit. 6-foot-2, 215 pound first baseman with a thick blocky strong body with thick muscular hips and thighs. Impact left handed power bat. Good bat speed with plus strength. Good approach at the plate with good load and separation. Electric bat speed with a good bat path. Barrel stays in zone. Plus power to all fields. Aggressive approach. Attacks ball. Ball explodes off bat. One of the premier power bats for his class in the country. Is also very good around the bag. Loose easy actions with soft quick hands. Turns the double play well. 0-2 on this occasion. Should become a high 2017 draft.

6/14/15- 6-foot-1 215 pounds with a strong and stalky frame. Average arm from the outfield with a short, ¾ arm action. Above average arm from 1B across the diamond. Soft hands and quick transfer at 1B. Good rhythm at the plate with a nice swing plane. He has a leg kick that gives him extra juice and he has above average ML power.

5/15/15 - 6-foot-1 220 pounds with a big, strong body with presence and big legs. At the plate he has good rhythm and gets a good separation. Gets into a strong hitting position after his load. Has a nice swing plane with plus bat speed. Ball jumps off his bat and already has above average ML power.

3/9/15 - 6-foot-2, 215 pound first baseman. Thick blocky mature body. He has a chance to be special power bat.  I saw him hit long, high home runs last year as a freshman.  Ripped a missile off the right field wall tonight. Must watch the body, but has a chance to be an early 2017 draft in a couple of years.

12/7/14 -  SF Elite tryout-Big thick mature body guy with good strength at a young age. LH power bat with good bat speed already. Very good plane and good hitters hands. Has some lift in swing with a solid approach. Very confident kid. Loose actions for a bigger body guy with a very good arm. Will be a big power guy before it's all said and done.

7/29/14 - Toral is a big kid with a thick lower half, standing at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds. He has a relaxed stance and takes a loose swing with good bat speed.

2020 DRAFT:Toral had a breakout season as a sophomore at Miami with the plus power he showed in high school coming back in to play with 24 home runs and a .293/.400/.656 slash. He followed up with five home runs and 16 RBIs, while batting .296 with more walks (13) than strikeouts (9) in the shortened 2020 season. The power has been his carrying tool and will continue to be. He flashes plus power to the pull side and the ability to drive the ball to all fields in the game. However, with the power comes swing and miss (29% college career K rate), and that will be a major concern as he works to navigate the higher levels, but the pure raw power continues to be one of the best in the class. If limited to just five rounds, there will not be much room for "fliers" to be taken in this year's draft, but if a team wants to take one on power potential, Toral is sure to be considered. He is a similar type of prospect to 2017 Rockies 6th rounder Chad Spanberger who had 20 home runs his junior season, but over a 26% K rate during his college career.

8/1/19:Showed a long swing with plus to better raw power, But, the power didn’t transfer to the game with just two HRs in 95 at-bats. He also ran well for his size, nearly average underway. (Seifert)
