8/17/22

Jones, a 6-foot 200-pound OF is a player that stands out right when he gets off the bus. Had an overall impressive day, showcasing his skills on both sides of the field. In the batter’s box the swing is open, lives mostly pull side with lots of pop in the bat. Hit a few tape measure homeruns in BP. Looked solid in game action with a few hard-hit balls, capped off with a single to right field. Will be a steal for a school looking for an impact player that can help the program right away.

7/28/22

Jones’ physical frame and size draws plenty of looks alone and he continues to flash his juice from the left side. 6-foot, 200-pound outfielder from TNXL Academy and although it wasn’t the best round of BP from him, he put one ball over the fence and worked three straight line drives up the middle at 95+ mph. The left-handed swing will be the carrying tool but he’s a competent defender in the outfield with arm strength where he will likely slide over to RF from centre. Continues to stand out among his peers.

2021 Jr. Future Games
Jones is one of the best looking players in the entire junior future games as its a physical frame with present strength and it shows in his BP and today on how the ball jumped off his bat. Jones wasn’t rewarded in the stat sheet but he barreled up two balls that were deep fly out and the mechanics and finish to the swing are something that catch your eye. The 2024 Jones can play all three outfield spots and is a bat that is going to hit in the middle of the order for the next few years and beyond.

2/23/20

Jones, a 5-foot-7, 140-pound outfielder/left-handed pitcher, is a 2023 grad with plenty of raw ability. From the left-side, he stands in and turns it loose; it’s an upward swing with potential loft power. It was an inconsistent round in the cage, and he loses his control at times, but when he makes contact, he has a chance to impact the baseball. In the outfield, he worked with whip up to 78. On the mound presently, he is 72-74, but there is arm speed and a lot more velocity in the tank. Jones should be a good follow.
