Very simple mechanically at the plate from the left side, letting his natural tools go to work. Swing is short and compact with obvious quickness to his bat. Found the barrel often in batting practice, showing the ability to produce backspin on his line drives. Impressive pop to both sides of the field. A switch-hitter that has a similar approach mechanically from the right side. Similar twitch and pop as well. Looks to be more comfortable and athletic from the left side at this stage. Defensively, he starts in a balanced stance with feet just outside of shoulder width. Uses quick jab step and creates good direction/momentum towards second base. Little wasted movement. Shows quickness to glove/hand transfer. Throws with short arm action. Pop times ranged between 1.92 to 2.12. Above average defensive skill set for his age.
