1/22/22

6-foot-3, 175-pound athletic frame. Solid at the plate, Liss best exit velocity was 78 mph. (58.7 mph bat speed average). (19.7 mph hand speed average). Starts in a quiet balanced stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Has a short simple swing plane, efficient bat speed and good extension on his finish. Line drive approach. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 87 mph; shows quick feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.18. On the mound, showing consistent arm speed he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 79-81 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1907; Avg 1811). Shows a 11/5 curveball (60-61) with slurvey action. (Max spin 1746; Avg 1709).

1/10/20

Projectability is through the roof with size and athleticism. Coming off injury that had him out for several months, he touched 80 in his first time back on a mound. Good balance and drive downhill. Like the chance he continues to add a lot of velo. Showed a sweeping breaking ball that was sharp at times at 65-68. With improved secondary stuff, he could be a potential impact 2024 arm.
