Georgia Commit. Atkins with another gritty/competitive performance on the mound to take the Region title. The Southpaw worked the corners well utilizing movement of all three pitches. Atkins showed a mid 80’s FB with good action arm side. Atkins relied on the CB as an out pitch getting whiffs out of the zone. Hunter flashed an occasional CH keeping hitters off of the FB. Atkins has shown up in big moments all year for Rockmart and will look to continue that throughout the playoffs.
