Good lower half with nice bend in the knees. VanSumeren is an advanced LHH. Clean, athletic, controlled swing. Small toe-tap, good load, maintains barrel through extension to create hard contact with ball. VanSumeren will continue to fill out and add muscle to his frame. One of the top prospects in the state. Kennesaw State commit. 5-foot-11 170-pounds. VanSumeren was a member of the ‘22 Junior Future Games team. He quickly emerged as one of the top left handed bats for the 2026 class in the state. He is starting to get more comfortable at the plate in a varsity setting. The freshman came up big to give Tift the lead in the 4th inning. He is a gamer, and plays the game hard and with a ton of passion. He can play 1B or the OF. He is continuing to fill out and will be able to stick at either position long term with the bat.
