6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. #11 ranked player in Iowa 2020 class. Controlled rocker step into higher athletic balance point, slight collapse back losing posture, works up and over front side, good use of glove side to drive arm through high ¾ slot. Fastball was 85-87 mph, delivered downhill, with occasional flat running action to arm-side of plate. Larger shape with solid spin on 11/5 breaking ball from high release point. Avg. feel for changeup with occasional run and sink action.
7/31/17- 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Strong durable frame. Athletic leg kick into slight tuck and turn delivery. Shows extension out front; uses lower half well in delivery. Longer arm action with high ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 81-83 mph with late run and sink for strikes. Some hitch in throwing mechanics on breaking ball; should continue to develop into solid pitch in future. Tends to slow arm on changeup causing flat action to plate. Good build with solid arm action and mechanics- Strong follow in IA 2020 class with continued polish and development.
12/28/16- 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Projectable strong frame with present ability on mound. Controlled delivery on mound with good body control and direction. Long arm action, slight wrap on backside, with extension out front. Consistently 80-82 mph with late action on fastball for strikes. 11/5 breaking ball shows spin and depth. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed, has deception, and shows quality late ASR. As a position player; 4.26 home-to-first time. Slightly open stance, knee to knee trigger, produces good bat speed, tends to fall over plate occasionally, mid/away approach with consistent hard contact, 87 mph exit velocity off tee. Usable hands and feet, tends to field underneath occasionally, winds up to throw, above avg. arm action with accuracy to bag, 82 mph arm strength across diamond.
