11/2/13 - 5-foot-10, 185-pound multi positional player. Behind the dish he receives with a wide setup. Arm works with rapid acceleration, 81 mph from a crouch with accuracy. Showed high quality catch and release skills, posting pop times in the 2.05-2.13 range. On the infield he throws it 74 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.59 60. Offensively he hits from a balanced, slightly open stance, smooth loading action. Hands work well in the swing, gets to quality extension, creates aggressive barrel whip. Exit velocity off the tee was 81 mph.
11/3/12 - Roberts is a solid 5-foot-10, 190-pound multi-positional player. Roberts showed solid fundamentals, coming out of the crouch low and towards his target. Roberts arm played well at 72 mph and resulted in pop times of 2.16-2.2. Offensively, Roberts hits from an open stance using a short stride. Roberts displayed the ability to find the barrel with regularity, working mainly to his pull side and creating extension through the zone.
Offensively, Roberts showcased above average bat speed and a dynamic lower half. Roberts started in an open stance and showed good balance throughout his swing. He consistently squared up the ball hitting line drives. Defensively, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound catcher threw a pop time of a 2.34.
