12.18.15 - Verbally committed to McKendree Univeristy.
2.15.15 - 5-foot-6, 150-pound left-handed hitting OF hits from a balanced setup, hands load back smoothly, short stride, short, slightly uphill bat path, drove the baseball to left-center field in batting practice, 75 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, threw 73 mph from the outfield from short, high ¾ arm slot with some accuracy. Ran a 7.68 60.
1.19.14 - 5-foot-5, 155-pound, left-handed hitting, two-way player. From the outfield he throws with a long arm, from ¾ slot at 76 mph and some accuracy. Ran a 7.5 60. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a smooth loading action. Swing is handsy, short and flat path, some extension. Exit velocity of a tee was 75 mph. On the mound his delivery has smooth rhythm and regular effort. Arm works short, from a ¾ slot. Showed feel for the fastball, throwing it 71-73 mph, touching 74 mph, with arm side run. Changeup was 65-67 mph with advanced feel and sink. Throws a curveball with 10/4 shape and sweeping action, 63-66 mph. Slider had slurve action, 63-65 mph.
7/23/13 - Left-handed hitting 5-foot-5, 160-pound two-way player. On the mound, Chamness showed some rhythm in his delivery throwing from a ¾ slot. His fastball sat 70-73 mph with slight run. He located his slider which had slight 10/4 action ranging 58-63 mph. 59-60 mph curveball with 11/5 break. Offensively recorded a pair of hits (one double) through two games. Showed well in BP with opposite field line-drive consistency. Has a simple swing and throws his hands at the ball creating a short path – exit velocity registering 66 mph. Defensively plays through the ball athletically with a clean exchange – arm plays at 73 mph from the outfield.
3/11/12 Chamness is a 5-foot-6, 140-pound two-way player who showed well at the plate with his ability to barrel up the baseball and make consistent hard contact.  He has a line drive approach  and is short and quick to the baseballl.  On the mound, Chamness throws two pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot: a 66-68 mph fastball and a 55-57 mph curveball.  Additionally, Chamness, who will attend Benton HS, ran a 7.88 60.
