1/22/12 Rodriguez is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound two-way player. He showed well at the plate, with his balanced setup and economical approach to the ball. Using his strong lower half as his base, he exhibited good bat speed while remaining balanced throughout. The ball jumped off his bat with backspin carry. Behind the plate, Rodriguez had a best pop time of 2.13 and was clocked at 75 mph from the crouch. On the mound, Rodriguez throws three pitches: a 77-78 mph fastball, a breaking ball that had 11/5 shape, and a 70 mph changeup.
