Fastball showed erratic velocity throughout game, sat mainly 85-88 early in game with touches of 89 mph, settled in at 83-85 in later innings. Shows the ability to get on top of his fastball and work downhill. Breaking ball showed slider action, softer action, 69-72 mph, potential to be a wipe out pitch if he firms it up at the next level. Maloney showed competitiveness and a high upside, his flashes of 89 mph from a ¾ slot out of a 6-foot-6 frame is intriguing.
