4/24/14 Ranked No. 121 in Illinois’ 2015 class. 6-foot-3, 170-pound, skinny, projectable frame, long limbs. Hamot sat 83-85 with a loose ¾ arm action. More projectible than brady. Showed occasional arm side run, but lacked extension due to striding across his body. Pitched exclusively from the stretch. Starts off staggered with feet (lead foot closer to third base), gets good load over the rubber, but hips drive out and around instead of directly at home, leading to across-body delivery, but also creates deception, tough on righties. Curveball showed 11-5 shape in 67-69 mph range, occasionally got around it. 74-76 mph change thrown with same arm action as fastball, kept down in the zone, but generally straight. Extremely projectable, and long-limbed pitchers like Hamot sometimes take time to repeat their delivery. Definite high follow for 2015.
