From behind the dish showed solid catch and release skills with pop times in the 2.04-2.24 range with above average carry. At the plate he has an open stance with a leg kick trigger. Showed an above average hit tool driving the ball gap-to-gap on a line. Has a short swing with accelerated bat speed and excellent extension. Exit velocity was 76 mph off a tee. Ran a 7.39 60.

2/23/13: 5-foot-8, 165 pound junior shows plus actions in the infield and can flat out pick it.  Possesses soft hands with quick feet and a clean exchange.   Takes good angles to the ball, and showcased good range. He’s athletic and plays through the ball with an accurate arm at 78 mph across the diamond.  Shows good body control.  At the plate starts with a slightly open stance with a smooth load.  Projects to be a 2-hole type hitter.  Displays above average bat speed, producing line drives.  Behind the plate he showcased an accurate arm behind the plate with all of his throws on the bag and pop times of 2.01-2.14.
