McClellan quietly executed pitches throughout his bullpen, something he has done again & again in our three-year follows. While the 6-foot frame and pedestrian velocities don't jump out, the pitchability does and allows for in-game success. He pitched at 82-84 with a heavier carry fastball that spun into the 2400s from a lower release, higher 3/4 slot. His best pitch was his low-to-mid 70s CB, a 2800+ offering that played with big sweep and some depth as well. The 76-77 change is a weapon that he has immense feel for. Good follow who will get outs at the college level. Starter look.

+ '27 LHP Brogan McClellan (Gibson Southern) is our final standout, a reliable southpaw we've seen plenty of thus far. He stands at an athletic, 6-foot, 170 pounds and hangs his hat on strong control with four well-shaped pitches in the arsenal. His 79-81 mph fastball plays with arm-side run, and he can take a little off of it and sink it, as well. The 68-71 mph slider shows sweeper shape and tunnels off the fastball, while his mid-70s change plays with fade and also works off the fastball tunnel. The overall feel here grades at an above average to better clip for the class, and velocity jumps will likely come as the body matures into more strength/explosiveness.

Delivery: Controlled tempo with a smooth, compact leg lift keeping the balance point low as weight is shifted into back hip pre-stride. Shoulders work slightly uphill down the slope w/ strong separation. Stride achieves decent distance down the slope. Consistently lands square.

Hit: (RHH) Started in a balanced stance with a quick load, then used a toe tap short stride. Balanced finish, simple flat swing. Gap to gap approach.

Power: 77.1 mph exit velocity, average 67.1 mph. 62.8 mph bat speed average. 19.2 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Sure hands, in control footwork. Capable. (OF) Soft hands, in control footwork, lengthy exchange.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic.

Arm: 70 mph infield velocity. 70 mph outfield velocity. Long arm action, ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Pitching: Solid. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, long loose arm action. Athletic balance point, falling off shoulders, lands square, an athletic finish.
