Two way athlete took the mound for the opening round of the 4A sectional. Stands 6-foot-1 190 pounds with a strong upper body and some athleticism. Simple delivery with easy effort and good acceleration from the lower half. Complete finish at times, but will stop the follow through on some pitches. Average tempo. Fastball velocity saw gains since we saw him in the summer. Was a solid 86-87 in the first few innings with some sink action before settling in at 82-83 in the 4th. Breaking ball was 72-74 throughout flashing some sharpness. Could be a very good pitch if the action was more consistent. All pitches were commanded well.
