The outfield crop at this event was led by Purdue recruit, and 2025 Future Gamer, Colin Axel-Adams. The athletic, 6-foot, 170-pounder turned in a 6.59 60-yard dash to enter plus-territory with that tool, before showing astounding raw power at the dish with exits peaking at 106-plus. While the round was a bit hit-or-miss, when the rhythmic moves sync there is some real electricity in the pass.

Axel-Adams is an intriguing left-handed hitter in the class. He sets up with a relaxed presence before a small, handsy tip and ambush forward move. When synced, the barrel comes through with some electricity and whip with 97-plus exits and feel to lift the ball pull-side. There is present twitch in the swing with a 6.81 60-time leaving power/speed upside. I need to see the forward move play this spring & determine if he stays in CF, but the present left-handed twitch & ability to get the ball in the air with projection left in the 6-foot, 170 pound athletic frame is what I like here.

Axel-Adams showed outstanding progress in all areas of his game at the All-State event. A lanky, twitchy, 6-foot, 160 pound outfielder - the swing has clean up, specifically the bat path, and the twitch he possesses allows for present above average bat speed. Axel-Adams had one of the loudest batting practice rounds of any '27 in attendance, reaching a peak exit velocity of 96 mph, and he averaged 90.9 mph throughout his round (event-best for 2027 grads) - with 60% of his swings coming off the bat at 90 mph or better. A 6.96 runner - Axel-Adams holds CF upside, and a valuable profile of a power / speed threat that hits from the left-side.
