3/31/18 Spring Scout Blog: The Michigan State commit got the start in game 2 against Cathedral, sitting 86-89 with the fastball, mixing in a good slider with depth at 71-72. Flashed a few changeups, arm side at 70. Settled in after a rough 1st inning and competed against a good hitting lineup, mixing and locating the slider to get swing and misses. Attacks inner half of the plate with the fastball. Strong lower half, physical mound presence, stays connected well down the mound. Filled up the zone after 1st inning, finished after 4IP, 8 Hs, 6 ER, 0 BB, and 7 Ks. Solid front end starter that competes, #14 ranked prospects in 2018 class.

6/13/17:  6-foot-1, 195 pound third baseman has a strong arm across the infield, topping at 86mph.  Fields with flat footwork and clean transfer.  High 3/4 slot.  Hits from an athletic setup and smooth load.  Short stride, above average balance throughout swing.  Good use of lower half.  Level path.  High exit velocity of 90mph.

6/3/17 Game Notes: Threw final 2/3 of the regional game, fastball was 85-90. 

4/22/17 Game Notes: The 6-foot-1, 190 pound pitcher sat 84-87 early in his outing, settling in at 83-85. Breaking ball had tight break with 11/5 shape at 70-72.  Used his breaking ball well in middle counts.  Has a short, quick arm swing with high 3/4 slot.  Slow leg lift and smooth rhythm into leg drive.  Lands squared.  Finishes through his lower half.  Competes on the mound, spreading out 7 hits in 3.2IP and giving up only 1ER (3R).  Threw 48 strikes out of 75 pitches with 1 strikeout.  

2/21/16: 6-foot, 185 pounder was 2.01, 2.05 and 2.08 with his pop times; 78 from the crouch.  Possesses quick footwork, with a short/quick arm action.  Average transfer.  Athletic receiver with soft hands.  Balanced setup.  At the plate hits from an athletic setup, loads back.  Stride is short.  Good use of his lower half.  Good balance.  Fast bat speed, with a good approach.  Short path.  Barreled up the baseball with good power.  High exit velocity of 91 mph. INFIELD-possess soft hands with a clean exchange.  Short, high 3/4 arm action with carry at 82.  OUTFIELD-up to 88 with life.  Fields the ball deep.  PITCHING-Showcased a clean, loose arm action with good direction to the plate.  Fastball shows late life at 86-89.  Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with early action.  CH shows good fade.
