6/12/18: Lanky 2019 LHP out of Evansville Central. Pitches from ¾ arm slot that creates good angle to the plate from tall frame. Some cross fire in delivery at times. Tempo is slower to plate. Big lift to balance point then uses lower half to drive in direction. Arm action is loose, quick and whippy. Stays in line to plate throughout delivery and finishes in line in athletic position. FB sat 83-84 T85 with arm side run and sinking action. Showed ability to locate to both sides of the plate. CB showed potential at 70-72. Changed arm slot to higher slot when trying to spin CB and tended to slow arm speed.

2/17/18:  6-foot-3, 180 pound left-handed pitcher sat 80-81 with late arm side run and sink.  Strike thrower.  Breaking ball has 1/7 shape with gradual break.  Easy effort, room for more velocity to come.  Stays in line, lands closed.  Long arm action into 3/4 slot.  Has rhythm, good pace down the mound.
6/13/17:  6-foot-2, 170 pound left-handed pitcher has a lanky frame with plenty of room to fill into frame.  Sat 79-80, touching 81 with the running fastball.  Throws from a low ¾ slot.  Pounds the strike zone on his arm side.  Change-up is a plus pitch for him.  Showed late depth and arm side run at 70-71.  Breaking ball has sweep action 67-68.  Aggressive in the strike zone, not afraid of contact.

2017 Spring Scout Blog:
6-foot-2 sophomore LHP threw 7 innings in relief of no-hit baseball. Fastball was 80-83 with some run from a 3/4 long arm slot. Bottom 7 he was 79-81. Change up looked advanced for age with good fade at 74-75 and fooled a lot of hitters. Curveball was 69-72 and inconsistent. Had trouble getting a feel for it and getting on top of the ball. Several spinners. Was very effective when thrown correctly. Good athletic build with potential to develop tremendously over the next two years. Struck out 7 while walking 4.

2019 uncommitted southpaw followed up is stellar 7 innings of no hit baseball
Thursday by throwing 3.1 innings in relief while striking out 4. Fastball sat 80-82 with run from a 3/4 arm slot. Produced many swing and misses with his change up that had good depth and sat in the 73-75 range. Needs to work on breaking ball and cleaning up some of his lower half in delivery. Finished the sectional throwing 10.1 innings while giving up 1 hit and striking out 11. In 42 innings pitched this year, he has only given up 4 XBH. Stands at 6'2 and has plenty of potential to blossom over the next two years.
