4/18/18 Spring Scout Blog: Strong, physical, athletic prospect who showed off an impressive hit tool on the night. He consistently found the barrel for hard contact to all parts of the field. There was a steady wind blowing directly in at about 15-25 MPH and English continued to bang balls off the wall. Right handed hitter, slightly crouched set up, quiet approach with a direct and quick bat path to the baseball. Showed some power by driving the ball consistently to deep parts of the field (banged 2B off LF wall, LD down the RF line for 3B and flew out to the warning track in LF to end the game.) Indiana Wesleyan commit. 

3/30/18 Spring Scout Blog: 6-foot-3, 210 pound senior was impressive out of the bullpen in his first outing of the year. Corner infielder, played 1st base and hit cleanup, came in in relief and shut the door, throwing 4IP, gave up 0 Hs, 0 Rs, 1BB, and striking out 9 hitters. Pitches with closer mentality, coming right at hitters with heavy fastball, sitting 87-89, mostly down at the bottom of the strike zone, would throw above hands for out pitch. Has command, easy lift and stride delivery, some stiffness. Breaking ball was 70-71, 11/5 downward shape, chance to be good out pitch, threw majority fastballs. Big bat speed at the plate, uphill bat path with pull side lift. IWU commit.

6/13/17:  Athletic, 6-foot 3, 210 pound corner infielder possesses bat speed in the box.  High exit velocity of 96. In batting practice, showcased ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap with some loud contact.  Uphill path, fluid movements.  Above average use of lower half.  Defensively, plays with fluid footwork and clean transfer.  Hands funnel into a high ¾ slot.  Throws topped at 84mph across the infield with some accuracy.  Projectable frame with athletic actions.  

2/9/17: 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, big strong frame.  Offensively, the RHH hits from an open crouch setup.  Smooth load, short stride.  Dives during the stride. Partial use of the lower half.  Long, uphill swing path, pull-side pop.  Quick bat speed.  Registered a high exit velocity of 91 mph.  Defensively, high ¾ arm action with accuracy and carry.  Throws topped out at 84 mph.  Showcased sure hands with fluid footwork.  Ran a 7.29 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash.

9/16/19: A transfer from Indiana Wesleyan, English has juice in his bat and some heat in his arm. He impressed both in the batter's box where he smoked a triple to RCF and on the bump where he sat 90-93 mph with 7' of extension to the plate and a spin rate of 2050-2150 rpm. Also flashed a power breaker at 78-79 mph. Ball jumps out of his hand. Interesting prospect with upside.
