CLASS OF 2026

Frame: Young look with projection to the 6-foot-3, 190 pound frame. Delivery/Arm Action: Slower pace to a tall, even balance point. Subtle sink as he controls his move down the mound with well-timed, later intent. Recoil finish. Shorter arm path with looseness as on-time arm flips up in-sync. Stuff: Fastball played at 91-92 touching 93 with higher intent. 6'5" extension plays the fastball velocity even higher. Played catch using easy intent with secondaries, changeup shows plus upside with heavy armside fade at 80-81. Shorter, two-plane curveball spun in the 2100 range mostly. Shows above average control. Summation: Lowrey is another Future Games alum that exploded at this event with much-higher velocities than we saw from him in Atlanta last summer. He has added weight to his late-blooming, projectable frame that has paid dividends. There is real starters' upside with a solid track record of strikes & his above average control of three pitches should only elevate with maturity, as well. He used more intent than normal in this 'pen, especially with the fastball, normal given the nature of the event. Regardless, I expect Lowrey to hold 88-92 in game while he pitches with above average secondaries. RC's should be booking trips to Lafayette this spring before its too late...

Lowrey made quick work in a brief, one inning relief look. A breakout performer at the Preseason All-State last month, Lowrey has a high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame. Lowrey worked the fastball in the zone at 86-87 mph with some arm-side run, and there is more in the tank. The right-hander flashed an above average breaking ball at 75-76 mph and showed a 78 mph changeup in warm ups with fading action. The delivery is very low effort with a moderate balance point into a controlled, efficient move down the mound. The arm swing is clean from a ¾ slot. There is a lot to like with Lowrey - arm action, strike throwing abilities, frame, and future starter's mix.

Lowrey will be the biggest riser in our next rankings update in the class - and he was one of my favorite sophomore arms of the weekend. A high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 180 pounder that is still maturing, Lowrey tossed a low-intent bullpen where he showed command of three-pitches, along with a running fastball that worked at 86-88, touching 88.9 mph. His changeup is a real weapon, thrown with fastball arm speed and showing late fading action at 78-79 mph. To round out a future-starter's mix, Lowrey spun a slurvey breaking ball at 75-77 mph. Lowrey lived in the zone during his bullpen, showing a controlled pace and easy effort within a clean arm swing. Must-follow sophomore arm!
