10/27/15: Watson threw for Team Indiana down in Jupiter sitting 87-89 with downhill plane. Works at a quick tempo with a repeatable delivery.
Future Games 2015: At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Watson is physical and athletic. A Team Indiana participant at the Future Games this summer, Watson possesses a strong, accurate arm with carry in the outfield. His defensive actions are solid with clean footwork and a quick exchange. He hits from an athletic set-up, displaying quick hands and regularly gets to extension. He possesses gap-to-gap power. Watson made an early push for MVP at the Future Games, starting the weekend with two RBI triples and finished with two singles and two runs scored on the second day. He runs a 6.9-second 60.
6/25/15: The 6-foot-2 200 pound strong, athletic outfielder ran a 6.9 60 yard dash. Keegan produced an exit velocity of 91 mph. Keegan has a balanced, athletic setup. Hands are fast. Bat path is level with extension. Showcased gap to gap power. Defensively, Keegan showcased a strong arm from the OF with clean footwork and a quick exchange. Velocity from the outfield was 89mph. On the mound pitches from a 3/4 slot with some arm speed. Long arm action. Regular effort in the delivery with some rhythm. Level shoulders and good line to the plate. Fastball was 82-83 and kept down in the zone. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape sitting at 68-69.
2/22/14: 6-foot-1, 190 pound freshman possesses an athletic frame. Possesses arm strength at 80 mph across the diamond from a long arm action. Displayed average hands and feet. Feet get flat at times but does play through the baseball well. Offensively possesses above average bat speed. Registered an exit velo of 87 mph. Starts wide and slightly open. Stride is short. Arm bar during load. Shows good balance throughout. On the mound pitches from a high 3/4 slot with a long arm action. Fastball topped out at 82 mph. Breaking ball was 69-72 with a slurvey action. Needs to be more consistent in the strike zone, but does show good projectability.
