6.21.16 - Nebraska recruit. Athletically built 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame, proportional strength, longer limbs, plenty of room for continued physical development. Legitimate two-way prospect; shows significant upside on the mound and as a right-handed hitting outfielder. Currently listed as a primary outfielder, but athleticism and arm strength translate well on the mound. … Right-handed pitcher, works downhill well, high-3/4 slot, quick, athletic, uninterrupted arm action. Fastball topped at 88 mph, sitting 86-87, steep angle when down in zone, mostly straight. Slider shows potential of being go-to swing-and-miss pitch; sharp, late two-plane break at 73-75 mph. Also flashed 78-80 changeup. With more polish and repetition, Watson should see more velocity and consistency in the future. … Currently more advanced as a position player. Overall excellent defensive outfielder, right-field arm strength, 90 mph with carry and on target. Moves fluidly and with confidence, fields the ball in rhythm, gets good reads, works downhill well. Delivered two impressive plays in game action: made a sliding catch in left field, and also gunned down a runner in right field. Offensively, hits from a tall setup, high hands, balanced, simple approach; bat speed and strength in swing, longer path with arm bar. When extended, ball jumps off barrel with backspin carry. Maintains balance throughout swing, gets extension through contact. Registered 91 mph exit velocity with wood and ran a 7.21 laser-timed 60. Singled sharply during game play.

10/27/15:
Watson threw for Team Indiana down in Jupiter sitting 87-89 with downhill plane. Works at a quick tempo with a repeatable delivery.

Future Games 2015:
At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Watson is physical and athletic. A Team Indiana participant at the Future Games this summer, Watson possesses a strong, accurate arm with carry in the outfield. His defensive actions are solid with clean footwork and a quick exchange. He hits from an athletic set-up, displaying quick hands and regularly gets to extension. He possesses gap-to-gap power. Watson made an early push for MVP at the Future Games, starting the weekend with two RBI triples and finished with two singles and two runs scored on the second day. He runs a 6.9-second 60.

6/25/15: The 6-foot-2 200 pound strong, athletic outfielder ran a 6.9 60 yard dash.  Keegan produced an exit velocity of 91 mph.  Keegan has a balanced, athletic setup.  Hands are fast.  Bat path is level with extension. Showcased gap to gap power.  Defensively, Keegan showcased a strong arm from the OF with clean footwork and a quick exchange.  Velocity from the outfield was 89mph.  On the mound pitches from a 3/4 slot with some arm speed.  Long arm action. Regular effort in the delivery with some rhythm.  Level shoulders and good line to the plate.  Fastball was 82-83 and kept down in the zone.  Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape sitting at 68-69.

2/22/14
: 6-foot-1, 190 pound freshman possesses an athletic frame. Possesses arm strength at 80 mph across the diamond from a long arm action.  Displayed average hands and feet.  Feet get flat at times but does play through the baseball well.  Offensively possesses above average bat speed. Registered an exit velo of 87 mph. Starts wide and slightly open.  Stride is short.  Arm bar during load.  Shows good balance throughout. On the mound pitches from a high 3/4 slot with a long arm action.   Fastball topped out at 82 mph.  Breaking ball was 69-72 with a slurvey action.  Needs to be more consistent in the strike zone, but does show good projectability.
