Body: 6-4, 188-pounds. Athletic, projectable build on a long, imposing frame.
Delivery: Developed throwing mechanics with a high compact leg lift keeping weight comfortably coiled into drive leg. Big, controlled weight shift with a powerful stride down the mound. (++) stride distance down the slope. Advanced hip separation. Consistently lands square.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm swing from an over the top slot. Gets strong extension in delivery.
FB: T85, 82-84 mph. Straight FB. T1836, 1723 average rpm.
CB: 69-72 mph. Profiles as SL/Sweeper with tight gloveside movement on an even plane. T2293, 2181 average rpm.
CH: 72-76 mph. Straight riding CH. T1389, 1330 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Tall setup with balanced weight distribution, hands start back in stance. Big, early load into drive leg with a toe-tap timing mechanism. Quick hover stride follows the toe-tap.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 91.9 mph. 366' max distance.
Arm: RH.
Gomez is a future-power arm to dream on, holding an ultra-projectable, 6-foot-4, 175 pound frame. The fastball shows carry properties (17" IVB avg) at 83-85 mph, a number that should steadily improve as he adds strength. Gomez showed a 70-71 mph slider with late sweep, along with a straight change at 74-77 mph. There is minimal effort in the operation with the arm accelerating to a high, over-the-top arm slot and the lower half working with controlled intent.
