Dickens owns one of the highest ceilings of any unsigned senior in Indiana's 2025 class - and showcased that throughout the day at this event. An ultra-projectable, athletic, 6-foot-6, 180 pounder - Dickens turned in an above average run time (6.91) before showing off a loose, level swing that reached a peak exit velocity of 95 mph and helped him grab three hits during gameplay, including a pair of extra base hits. Dickens' athleticism translates to the outfield where he also shows off upper-80s arm strength to round out a quality toolset. Dickens best days on the diamond are well ahead with ample room in the frame for strength gains that will only further elevate his toolset and overall abilities.

Dickens is one of the more interesting uncommitted prospects in the state. Standing at an athletic, projectable, 6-foot-5, 175 pound frame - the left-handed hitting outfielder has present tools to go along with tons of upside. Our staff has seen him in two looks over the past week, and he combined to go 5 for 7 with a double, and an opposite field home run. Dickens is showing more bat speed this season, with more strength at impact, and it is easy to dream on more coming with his frame having all-kinds of room to add mass. Dickens is a solid runner (6.82 60) with arm strength, and holds two-way upside (easy 86 on the bump). There is some rawness to his game, however the upside is super intriguing. Dickens sets up in an athletic stance and uses a simple toe-tap stride as he works behind the baseball with an upward path.

OF Peyton Dickens (Whiteland) is an uncommitted outfielder to dream on with an ultra-projectable, 6-foot-5, 175 pound frame. The swing has cleaned up since looks in the summer and fall, turning the barrel on an uphill plane, and there is significant power potential in the frame. Dickens' exit velocity peaked at 91.7 mph, and I expect that number to sky-rocket as he matures into more physical strength. A 6.82 runner - Dickens' arm works - producing an OF velocity of 88 mph and reaching 86 mph on the bump, as well.

Hit: LHH. Hits out of a wide, balanced stance. Coils into the back leg with quiet hands during the load. Simple operation, hits with a no-stride. Bat works on a loose, level plane with some whip in the barrel. Projectable '25 bat with a lot to like.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 81.5 mph. 273' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-84 mph. OF-87 mph. Loose arm action - works from an OTT slot from the OF & 3/4 slot in the INF.
Defense: (INF) - Athletic feet, rangy defender. Hands are sure with some feel for the exchange. Raw INF actions, athleticism stands out. (OF) - Controlled approach, moves with fluidity. Works through the baseball with confident hands. Quicker exchange.
ATH: 7.03 runner in the 60.

Hit: (LHH) Starts in a tall stance with a high load, then uses a short stride. Level rotational swing.

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands. 

Arm: 75 mph outfield velocity. Long arm action, an-over-the-top slot. 

Speed: 7.67 (60-yard).

Pitching: Raw. Feel delivery. High ¾ arm angle, some arm speed, longer arm action. Tall balance point, in line shoulders.
