6/12/18: athletic strong build 6’3 prospect. Hits from right side showed simple setup in box, short stride to baseball, easy loose swing. Bat speed was average. Bat path was level through zone. In the field showed average actions up the middle with decent range. Hands were soft, exchange was quick and arm was above average. On the mound showed big time potential. Pitches from ¾ arm slot with some Xfire in delivery, quick arm clean stroke throughout delivery. Repeats well. Some effort in delivery but ball comes out of hand well. FB sat 84-86 T87 with more in the tank. FB showed good late life arm side. Showed ability to locate in each part of the zone. Spun a late breaking CB with 11/5 shape and good depth at 77 for strikes. *committed to Purdue shortly after event.

4/12/18 Spring Scout Blog: 6-foot-3, 185 pound junior prospect played second base, pitched the night before. Athletic, long legged frame, easy natural arm strength, advanced defender with good glove actions and footwork. Turns the double play, arm strength to play on the left side of the infield. Arm strength is ahead of the bat. Athletic setup at the plate, short load a stride to swing, front foot strides open, flat barrel path through the hitting zone. Line drive, contact swing. Above average bat speed.

2/17/18:  6-foot-3, 185 pound pitcher has a physical frame with long legs.  Long arm swing into a 3/4 slot.  Stiff lower half, closed off at times.  Arm side sink on the fastball sitting 82-85.  Commands his arm side well.  Breaking ball showed flashes of sharpness, at times popping up out at the hand.  Change-up is thrown with near fastball arm speed, showing some fade at 72-76.   Hits from an open, athletic setup.  Hands load back as foot closes off.  Flat bat path.  Line drive approach.  High exit velocity of 91.

10/15/17: 6-foot-2, 175 pound right-handed pitcher sat 79-81 with the fastball, featuring some arm side run.  Long arm swing with slight wrap behind hip.  Above average hand speed.  Stiff lower half, working around his front leg at foot strike.  Releases from a 3/4 slot on fastball, slightly higher on the breaking ball.  Curveball shows 11/5 shape with feel for the strike zone at 65-69mph.  Right-handed hitter has a tall, open setup.  Short stride, above average balance.  Slight over rotation on lower half.  Flat path to contact.  High exit velocity of 90mph.  Defensively, he works through the baseball into clean transfer and release.  Athletic movements.  Throws topped 85 across the infield.

6/13/17:  6-foot-2, 175 pound pitcher has a short, loose arm action with some wrist speed.  Fastball is up to 83 with some downhill run.  Stiff lower half, finishes upright.  Rotates around front leg.  Breaking ball is loopy, down action.  He has an open setup in the box with short stride.  Hands load back, creates quick bat speed.  Line drive approach in middle of the field.  High exit velocity of 92.

2/26/17:  The 6-foot-1, 175 pound right-handed pitcher possesses a smooth, long arm action with 3/4 slot.  Good direction, rhythm down the mound.  Lands squared, stiff in front leg at times..  Fastball sat 82-83 with slight run.  Breaking ball has loopy, downer action at 63-66.  Change-up sat 68-70 with some fade at near fastball arm speed.  Offensively, hits from an open setup with smooth load.  Feet get squared in load, pivots on front foot.  Hands load back creating a flat path to the ball.  Some bat speed, exit velocity topping at 87.  Glove work is above average with clean, long transfer.  Plays through the ball.  Throws were accurate at 82mph.  Ran a 7.63 60yd dash.
