+ Post had a big offseason performance at this event and established himself as a name to know uncommitted lefty in the 2026 class. It is a big frame at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds and he is athletic for his size. I've seen him in the zone often throughout his career, and he did much of the same at this event, but with a much firmer arsenal. Post pitched at 86-89 with a fastball that flashed some carry and played with big extension & a steep vertical approach angle from a high OTT look. He commanded a mid-to-upper 70s change that plays with late fade - this pitch is usable and a pitch he goes to often in-game. He spun his breaking ball at 77-82 with some ability to manipulate shape and tighter spin. Post is super young for the class with a chance to tick even further once basketball season ends and he shifts full focus to baseball. Area RC's should be booking trips to Illiana this spring to see this uncommitted southpaw. 

Post was a very interesting watch in his start. A projectable, 6-foot-3, 195 pound southpaw with athleticism. A recent riser in our 2026 rankings, Post showed feel for multiple pitches in his outing. He worked the fastball up to 85 mph, while settling in at 81-84 mph with arm side run. Post showed a bigger breaking ball with solid shape and depth at 70-73 mph - inducing swing-and-misses with it. He flashed a firmer slider at 74-75 mph, as well. The lefty also showed some feel for a fading 74-76 mph changeup. The delivery is very low effort, suggesting there is a lot more velocity in the tank. The arm works clean to a H ¾ slot. The uncommitted sophomore also holds some two-way upside with a smooth left-handed stroke. Post will be a priority follow for our staff the rest of the spring and summer.

LHP/OF Tanner Post (Illiana Christian) is a projectable, uncommitted sophomore left-hander. Standing at an athletic, 6-foot-3, 195 pounds - Post commanded a four-pitch mix, highlighted by a ride/run heater that worked at 82-83, touching 83.5 mph. The fastball averaged 19.8" of IVB, and he also induced 15" of arm-side run, properties that suggest the velo will play up. Post showed a softer curveball with depth at 71-74 mph, along with a firmer slider at 74-76 mph, and rounded out his arsenal with a 74-77 mph changeup that he was able to execute to his arm-side. An effortless delivery suggests more velocity is in the tank, and his ability to command the zone stood out.
