A true two-way prospect with his ceiling showing equally as high on the mound as it does as a middle infielder. His best tool to date is his foot speed, turning in a 6.69 60-yard dash at this event. There is twitch here with athleticism to pair, and his 6-foot-2, 175 pound frame holds room for more strength. The swing works direct with some ability to lift to the pull-side and budding impacts shown with 95+ showcase exits. His arm is a solid tool, playing 87 across the diamond. It translates well to the bump, where he sunk a mid-80s fastball (T 85.4) while showing feel for a short, 72-74 SL. There is plenty of intrigue in a well-rounded, twitchy, athletic profile and he should be able to impact the game on both sides of the ball at the next level.

+ There are plenty of traits to like with '26 SS Vince Painter (Brownsburg). A wiry athlete beginning to pack muscle onto a 6-foot-1, 170 pound frame - Painter showed off some twitch in his right-handed swing with a direct path. He is able to leverage the ball pull-side with some strength, reaching a peak exit velocity of 95.3 mph. He is a solid runner underway (6.87) with enough arm strength to be a college left-side defender. The infield actions are solid, as well. There is a pretty solid track record of in-game success that adds to a toolset that is beginning to louden. He also hopped on the mound to provide a 3/4 sinker/slider look, pitching at 83-84 with arm-side run and two above average secondaries.

‘26 SS Vincent Painter (Canes Indiana) - Lanky, athletic 5-foot-10, 155 pounder. Fundamental actions in the infield, showed quicker lateral movements and soft glove actions. Played with instincts. Simple operation in the right-handed batter’s box - loose, level swing plane with quick hands.

Hit: (RHH) Starts in a tall narrow stance with a controlled load, then uses a long stride. Developing bat speed. Balanced finish. Base hit line drive approach.

Defense: (IF) Soft hands, quick consistent footwork, twitchy exchange. Athletic. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front.
