6/27/17 - Zellers has a strong build at 5-foot-11 190-pounds and is a right-handed hitting infielder in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.86 laser timed 60 and a 4.96 home-to-first. Exit velo was recorded at 88 mph. At the plate, Zellers showed a simple load, even stride, gets good extension at contact, level bat path. During game action he hit a line drive single up the middle. Defensively at first base, Zellers moved well, attacked the baseball, long arm action, 76 mph positional velo and mostly accurate throws.
2/12/17 - Zellers is a 5-foot-11 190-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.80 laser timed 60 and a 4.62 home to first. He has an 88 mph exit velo and a strong build. At the plate, open stand, loads hands, short stride, solid consistent contact during hitting evaluations, repeats swing, hard middle to pull side line drives.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, quick to the ball with feet, quick catch and throw with clean exchanges, accurate throws.  

1/18/16 - Zellers is a 5-foot-11 189-pound right-handed hitting first basemen in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Zellers ran a 4.40 home-to-first and had an exit velo of 75 mph exit velo.  At the plate, athletic stance, separates hands and front foot to load, no wasted movement, swing produced line drives to the middle of the cage.  At first base, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, fluid footwork, made all plays cleanly, quick exchange. On the mound, Zellers has a high three-quarters arm slot, throws with regular effort, showed ability to repeat release point, high percentage of strikes, fastball at 74-76 mph, curveball has 11-to-5 action, 63-64 mph, controllable change up at 70-71, near fastball arm speed, smooth rhythm and tempo in delivery.
