On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, 76 mph positional velo, clean exchange on time fluid momentum in feet, plays through the ball, accurate throws. On the mound, smooth and controlled delivery, high three quarters arm slot, aggressive down the mound, hands remain high during leg lift, in line down the mound, works downhill, fastball at mostly 81-83 mph, slight sinking action, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, late and gradual break, 68-69 mph, change up at 71-73 mph, near fastball arm speed, down in the zone.

10/22/17 - Chappell is a long limbed and strong 6-foot-4 200-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.60 60 and a 5.21 home to first.  He has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, hands separate from stride in load, in line stride, aggressive swing, middle to pull side contact during batting practice, doubled off wall in left and doubled to left-center gap in game.  On the infield, 81 mph positional velocity, short high three-quarters release, quick catch and throw, smooth footwork, soft hands, feet create momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Chappell is a 6-foot-4 200-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.
