8/5/15 - Fruend is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Freund has controlled delivery, low three quarters release, and throws slightly across body.   Fastball at 80 mph max, sat 76-79 mph, running action.  10-to-4 curveball,  slurve-type action, 67-71 mph, change-up at 62-63 mph slight sink.

2/21/15 - Freund is a 6-foot 150-pound right-handed pitcher from Sedgwick HS, in Kansas’ 2016 class, Freund throws with a controlled tempo, high three-quarters release, and body control.  His fastball has cutting action at 77-80 mph, 11-to-5 breaking ball, gradual break, 65-68 mph, straight change-up, 68-72 mph.

4/22/14 - Connor Freund is a sophomore right-handed pitcher for Sedgwick. He is around 5-foor-10, 170-pounds on a skinny frame with room to grow.  He throws three pitches from low 3/4 arm slot. His fastball, which has nice sharp arm-side tailing action, was between 77-79 mph with a top velocity of 81 mph.  Additionally, he threw a 68 mph change-up and 63 mph breaking ball.  Freund is currently 1-1 with a 3.50 ERA and 11 strikeouts in eight innings.  He was a bit wild today, but is just a sophomore and as he learns to pound the strike zone he should have a bright future.
