2/24/18 - Kephart is a well-built and strong 6-foot-5 210-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pithcer in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 4.57 home to first and has an 88 mph exit velocity. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing mechanics, starts slightly open with weight in back leg, no wasted movement in load, in line stride, hands manage the bat head, generates fast bat speed with loose whip, good barrels awareness with power to pull side.  On the infield, 83 mph positional velocity at first base, attacks the ball with quick feet, reverse pivot to throw to second base, clean exchange, smooth actions, accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Kephart has a quick tempo, slight tuck at balance point, over the top release, in line direction towards the plat, high three quarters arms lot, works on a downhill plane with fastball, 83-86 mph, works to the bottom of the zone for a strike, breaking ball at 72-74 mph, late 11-to-5 shape, change up at 74-76 mph,  stays at bottom of the zone with slight sink, fastball arm speed.

6/20/17 - Kephart is a 6-foot-5 190-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.70 60 and a 4.94 home to first.  He has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic stance, minimal load with no wasted movement, smooth rhythm and tempo, loose and quick hands, hard consistent contact to the middle of the field and pull gap, balanced and repeatable swing.  On the infield, 81 mph positional velocity, quick feet moving to the ball with a purpose, high three quarters release, accurate throws with carry, clean exchange, projectable frame still adding strength. On the mound, Kephart works downhill, quick and short arm circle, over the top release, fastball at 77-81 mph, some with two-seam action, has tilt to bottom of zone, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, occasional late break, looks to be a good pitch as he continues to throw, has feel for change up, 69-70 mph,
