Mac N Seitz Black Sox Scout Day: Corner Infielder Analysis

Prep Baseball Report - Missouri/Kansas held the Mac N Seitz Black Sox Scout Day on Saturday, February 24 in Kansas City, Missouri. Over seventy players in the 2021 to 2018 classes participated.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard. Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos. Today will take a closer look at the middle infielders from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.
This group of corner infielders included one player in the 2018 class, ten players in the 2019 class, three players in the 2020 class, and six players in the 2021 class. Nine players hand an 86 or better exit velocity, with five over 90 mph. Six players were 80 mph or better across the infield. Here is a look at the corner infielders from the Mac N Seitz Scout Day.
Middle Infielders
Steven Azzaro C / OF / St James Academy, KS / 2021Azzaro is a lean 6-foot-1 158-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.83 home to first and has an 80 exit velocity. He ran a 4.40 home to first and has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, pre-pitch rhythm in hands, quick bat speed, high finish in hands, short in line stride, middle to pull side contact during hitting evals.
