2/24/18 - Modrcin is a 6-foot-2 190-pound left-handed hitting catcher and first baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 4.31 home to first and has a 91 mph exit velocity. At the plate, quick bat speed with pull side power, middle to pull contact, balanced set up with minimal load and no wasted movement.  Behind the plate, 2.13 to 2.20 pop times, 73 mph positional velocity, short over the top release, quick catch and throw, feet create momentum, accurate throws, most with carry. On the infield, 76 mph positional velocity at first base, short over the top arm slot, athletic and quick feet, smooth transfer, mostly accurate throws.
2/16/18 - Modrcin is an athletically built 6-foot-2 185-pound left-handed hitting catcher in Kansas' 2018 class.  He ran a 4.44 home to first and has a 91 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with open stance, in line stride, loose hand with slight lift to path, middle to pull side contact. His pop times were 2.08 to 2.14 with a 74 mph velo, offset feet in set up, short over the top release, exchange on time with fluid footwork, creates momentum to throw, throws have carry to the bag and are accurate.
10/29/17 - Well-proportioned 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame with present strength. Hits from crouched setup with lots of intent in his swing as he looks to lift the baseball. Can get long at times, but shows solid bat speed. 91 mph exit velocity registered highest at the event. Recorded 7.60 60-yard dash. Defensively, turned in a best pop time of 2.12 with 74 mph arm strength on throws that tended to run to his arm side. Has solid physical tools across the board.
2/17/17 - Modrcin is a 6-foot-2 195-pound left-handed hitting catcher first baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 4.56 home to first and has a 91 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic set up, smooth load, strong hands, pull side power, aggressive swing, simple and repeatable mechanics.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.12 and 2.33, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, momentum though the catch, gets into legs to set up, flexible, mostly accurate throws. At first base, 78 mph positional velo, short three quarters arm slot, athletic footwork to the ball, quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws. 

8/2/16 - Modrcin is a 6-foot-1 185-pound left-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Kansas' 2018 class.  He ran a 7.95 60 and a 5.22 home-to-first.  He has an 82 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stand, smooth weight shift into back side, gap-to-gap approach, short path to contact, hands work inside ball, solid single to centerfield and double down left field line in game action.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.14 and 2.31-seconds, 69 mph positional velo, over the top release, fluid transfer working with footwork. At first base, 74 mph positional velo, quick over the top release, quick feet, clean exchange, accurate throws.
