6/26/18 - Wahwahsuck has a strong build at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds. He is a right-handed hitting middle infielder from Kansas’ Leavenworth HS. He ran a 4.72 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. During batting practice, Wahwahsuck starts in a relaxed open stance, in line stride, quiet load, loose hands, minimal head movement, showed hard contact to LF, singled during game action. Defensively, Wahwahsuck had mostly accurate throws, positional velo of 74 mph, long and clean arm action, high ¾ arm slot, clean transfers, ball had some carry.
2/24/18 - Wahwahsuck is a 5-foot-10 200-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 4.57 home to first and has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts open and tall, rotation to load, hands load with rotation and separation from stride, leg lift to stride, short in line stride, hands work inside the ball, mostly middle to opposite field line drives during hitting evals. On the infield, 75 mph positional velocity, over the top release, soft hands, loose arm action, fluid footwork with smooth glove to hand transfer, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Wahwahsuck has a short over the top release, some deception with movement and temp in delivery, raises leg to hop, slight bounce to acceleration down the mound, creates in line direction towards the plate, throws with regular effort, hides ball until release, fastball at 77-73 mph, works mostly arm side, 62-64 mph breaking ball, gradual 12-to-6 action, 71-72 mph change up, some with sink, throws with near fastball arm speed.
8/13/17 - 5-foot-10, 180 pound two way player ran a 8.38 60 yard sprint. Tall open stance, leg kick triggers arm bar into line drive swing plane. Avg. contact during round of BP. All field approach. Posted a 77 mph exit velocity. Active feet and hands in the infield, plays the ball outfront, clean transfer w/ extra hop topped out at 70 mph across the infield. On the mound topped out at 75 mph with his fastball. Drops and drives off his backside, tendency to get stuck on his finish, feel for 12/6 shaped breaking ball for strikes.
6/20/17 - Wahwahsuck is a 5-foot-9 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 8.37 60 and a 5.44 home to first. He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, hands walk away from stride, in line stride, loose hands, middle to opposite field contact during batting practice, quick bat speed, body stays under control. On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fields ball in position ready to throw, fluid footwork and transfer, soft hands, made all plays cleanly during defensive evaluations.
1/28/17 - Wahwahsuck is a 5-foot-9 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 8.17 laser timed 60 and a 4.95 home to first and has a strong, durable build. He has a 69 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts loaded in back side, short stride, quick and aggressive hands, middle to oppo contact, line drive the other way, level path with balanced body. On the infield, 65 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, clean transfer with quick release, fluid footwork to the ball, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Wahwahsuck has a strong lower half, over the top release, in line stride, fastball at 69-71 mph, 12-to-6 breaking ball, 60-63 mph, will drop to a lower slot, change up at 66-68 mph, showed command of three pitches, high number of strikes.
