Positional Profile: RHP/INF Polished, physical right-hander with upside moving forward.
Body: 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Tall, athletic frame with some room to add strength and size.
Defense: Bouncy footwork with aggressive, and confident action. Some softness in the hands on the funnel. 
Arm: Right-Handed.  INF - 84 mph. Plus arm strength. Ball explodes out of the hand. Whippy arm action using a short stroke through a ¾ slot.
Hit: Right-Handed. Narrow, balanced, upright, and slightly open stance with low set hands. Uses a smooth load and slight hanging leg kick before taking a moderate stride and launching his hands on an efficient and uphill path to contact. Aggressive, high two handed finish.
Power: 78 mph exit velocity from the tee. Quickness of hands and bat speed could develop power. Line drive hitter right now.
Run: 4.37 runner home-to-first. 

Delivery: Quick tempo with some drop/drive in the delivery, level shoulders, works closed to target, hides the ball well, athletic finish spinning off the first base side.
Arm Action: Right-Handed. Long and clean arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. Four-seam type, riding action, strikes.
CB: 68-72 mph. 11/5 shape, late break, potential swing-and-miss offering.

10/20/18 – Madden has a slender build and projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds and is a RHP and corner infield prospect in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 7.21 60 yard dash, 4.40 home-to-first and posted an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts open, weight shift and rhythm with hands into his load, in line stride, extension through the baseball. Defensively, Madden moves well side-to-side, good actions, quick transfer to release, above average arm strength, high three-quarter release, positional velocity of 78 mph, very accurate throws. On the mound, Madden projects out with a good frame and athletic delivery, quick loose arm action, downhill tilt, repeats, stride slightly across body, accelerates down the mound, high three-quarter release. Fastball is heavy, thrown for a high percentage of strikes, 77-81 mph, arm side run, changeup is 73-74 mph, near fastball arm speed, arm side run, occasional sink, curveball has a chance to be plus pitch, 11-to-5 action, late sharp bite, 63-67 mph.

2/24/18 - Madden is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 4.89 home to first and has a 79 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with and open and tall set up, controlled small leg lift to in line stride, slight pre-pitch rhythm in hands, no wasted movement, loose and level bat path, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, 74 mph positional velocity, smooth action, quick catch and throw, body stays under control, clean transfer, over the top release, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Madden has a quick and loose arm action, stable body, in line stride, controlled leg lift with slight tempo increase as he gets down the mound, lands square to the plate, fastball at 767-78 mph, breaking ball at 64-67 mph, early but sharp at times 11-to-5 action, change up at 70-72 mph, some arm side sink, throws with near fast ball arm speed.

10/22/17 - Madden is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas' 2021 class.  Madden has an athletic delivery, throws with regular effort, repeats, throws a high number of strikes, works downhill, fastball 73-77 mph, works to both sides of the plate, 11-to-5 breaking ball, flashes depth and sharpness, change up at 63-64 mph, near fastball arm speed.
